TESTIMONIALS

“Seamless, lovely, fun and loving.”

That's how Leslie Copland described her experience working with Beit Daniel, the flagship synagogue of The Daniel Centers for Progressive Judaism, to be the location of her wedding.

“I met Rabbi Sadan on Skype, and I felt her warm, loving, accepting, open way of being; perfect! Just what we wanted for our ceremony. She was filled with joy for us and we felt honored by her receptivity,” recalled Leslie.

The Daniel Centers for Progressive Judaism, which encompasses three thriving centers across Tel Aviv-Jaffa, is a hub for groups, organizations and congregations visiting Israel's most vibrant city to become engaged first-hand with Reform Judaism.

“The Rabbi and the staff radiate joy and a sense that the people standing in front of them are genuinely special and cared for. Everything was customized for us—with us in mind and Rabbi Sadan understood our desire for a combination of tradition with modern practices and language. For others who are considering Beit Daniel—they will be in good hands with people who pay attention to the details as well and engage with a sense of service and happiness. Everyone seemed truly happy for us and it created the experience we desired.”

For first-time travelers to Israel, Leslie and her husband sought out a ceremony in Israel to celebrate, in her own words, their heritage and love. In many ways, Tel Aviv is emblematic of the revitalization of the Jewish community of modern nation state Israel, almost its own marriage between the Jewish people and the land promised to them in their covenant with God.

Having your wedding in Tel Aviv means being surrounded by a flourishing night life of one of the largest cities in Israel, in close proximity with the beach, and also one of the most advanced in the world. Home to over 2 million Israelis, the start-up city and “Israel’s economic hub” is also home to hundreds of bars and restaurants, as well as some of the most beautiful hotels in the world.
